Project Description
How does voice warehouse management affect productivity? Delhaize loads and unloads around 250 trucks at 100 stations every day – and all this with almost no errors. This is achieved with the help of three completely different picking systems: while dairy products are collected using handheld devices, the concept for picking within two larger storage areas (for fruit and vegetables and dry assortment) is based on a voice solution. The transition from hand-held to voice terminals took place in 2018, and the system implemented by Špica ensured fast and smooth operation. The main advantage is a significant increase in productivity and reduced training time.
